Positioning Chair

The positioning chair is made for correct seating within a child’s 24-hour posture management programme. This is very important and valuable as it enables the child to be part of daily activities. The positioning chair is specifically intended for a child who requires maximum postural support in the sitting position whilst offering the opportunity to make tailored adjustments. Therapists can adjust various features to meet the specific needs of each child:

• 2 basic sizes: small and medium
• the seat depth
• back-rest height
• tilt of chair
• head-rest
• individual footplate height and angle
• lateral support
• pommel size
• height and angle of table

The chair is not a replacement for a wheelchair even though it has wheels. It is solely intended for easy use within the home environment.
